Group Chief Executive
Ian has established the Group as the world's leading high service distributor through a successful strategy of international growth. He joined the business in 1995 and was appointed Group Chief Executive in 2001. Ian is an independent Non-Executive Director of QinetiQ Group plc. Previously he worked as a management consultant for The Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company and as a Non-Executive Director of The Sage Group plc.
Group Finance Director
Simon joined as Group Finance Director in 2005. He is
responsible for driving and supporting the Group's performance
agenda whilst maintaining a robust control environment and managing
its risks. He has implemented many initiatives including cost
reduction and cash maximisation. Previously, Simon held a
variety of senior finance positions at Diageo, latterly as Finance
Director of Key Markets.
Global Sales Director
Klaus is responsible for building an empowered and innovative world-class sales and customer service organisation. He joined in 2001 and was previously Regional General Manager, EMEA, and General Manager for RS UK. Prior to this, Klaus spent 9 years at Adolf Würth GmbH where he held various senior management positions in strategic management, sales and marketing.
Global Offer Director
Chris holds global responsibility for the Group's product and stock management, pricing and supply chain activities. Chris joined Electrocomponents in 2009 as General Manager Electronics where he was pivotal in the development of the Group's electronics business. Previously, Chris held senior management positions at Memec culminating in President EMEA and Senior Vice President.
Global Marketing Director
Keith is responsible for the Group's marketing function and enhancing its eCommerce functionality. He has been instrumental in developing an improved multi-channel customer approach. Before joining as General Manager eCommerce in 2010, Keith was Director of Online Sales for Orange UK, Director of eBusiness at Hilton International and Head of Dotcom Sales at Thomas Cook UK.
Global Strategy Director
Paul has responsibility for developing, planning, supporting and driving the delivery of the Group's business strategy. This includes aligning the organisation and facilitating transformation across the business. He was previously General Manager for RS UK. Prior to joining RS in 2007 as Head of Finance, Paul held a number of positions during his 10 year tenure at InBev.
Global IT Director
Phil is responsible for the development and execution of the Group's IT strategy. This includes ensuring the business has the right tools and infrastructure in place to support the global operating model. Previously, he was Group Chief Information Officer at British American Tobacco (BAT), Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Brown and Williamson Tobacco, and European IT Manager at Honda.
Global HR Director
Ian has responsibility for building an effective organisation
and ensuring the business has the right skills and culture it needs
to deliver the Group strategy. He has led a major culture
change across the Group through the introduction of global
behaviours, underpinned by performance management and reward
structures. Before joining in 2004, Ian held senior roles at
Vodafone plc and the Thomas Cook Group.
