Our health and safety

Health and safety is of paramount importance

Ensuring the safety of our employees around the world is a primary concern.

We recognise health and safety as key for the continued economic success and sustainable future of the business. We are committed to continually improving our health and safety performance through training and raising awareness of safety in the workplace.

Our health and safety systems, processes and organisation are embedded as a core activity and underpin many wider business strategies.

Our core objective is to achieve long-term cultural change within the business, promoting good practice and behaviours amongst all employees, regardless of whether they are office-based, field-based or work at our distribution centres and trade counters.

We continue to work towards Target Zero, inspired by the vision of zero accidents or harm to employees. With a clear strategy in place, our investment in health and safety has resulted in continuous improvement over the past five years.

In recognition of our health and safety success we have been awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety for the third year in succession.

We have also received an International Safety Award for our commitment to the health, safety and well-being of our people.
