Electrocomponents plc was founded in 1937 as Radiospares. In 1967 it floated on the London Stock Exchange as Electrocomponents plc. In the year ended 31 March 2008 the Group had revenue of £924.8m and a headline profit of £96.4m. A dividend of 18.4p per share was made in respect of the year.
